I still like blogger for the flexibility in blog skins, but Live Journal provides a better platform to write because the blogs can be inter-linked and there are communities and such. Blogger is very isolationist compared to LiveJournal. </div><div><br /></div><div>The best thing about LiveJournal is really the privacy settings. You can have three settings, so you don't have to have one private blog, one friends only blog and one public blog. Like, how cumbersome is that? </div><div><br /></div><div>Too bad that I can't do much CSS work for LiveJournal, because CSS is slightly out of my reach, and I need to really sit down and spend time to learn it, not like blogger, where it is much easier to do HTML and stuff.</div><div><br /></div><div>Oh well. News on the Interwebs is that Tokio Hotel won Brand New Artist on MTV's Video Music Awards.<br /><br />Need to clarify some things here.<br /><br />One. Tokio Hotel is an established band in their own right. They're a seven year old band, or will be seven soon. They're only "Brand New" in America. And this is the country that had some backward cowboy as president for 8 years. So... Credible? Think not.<br /><br />Two. They're not some obscure band that has no fan base. They sold 5 million CDs and DVDs in their native country, Germany.<br /><br />Three. While we're on the subject, Flyleaf is not a new band either. Just because 987 now plays their music, because they're FINALLY realised that it's an awesome band, doesn't mean it's a new band. Flyleaf is 8 years old, and doesn't need you mainstreamers to affirm their awesome, because we, the forward people of the world who listen to great music, know it. Music is only cool in my opinion when it sounds good, and it's obscure enough that anyone you meet who listens to the music are similar enough to you. This means that they are true fans like you, and that the music is not mainstream.<br /><br />Five. Mainstream is not cool. Dude... Why do you want to be like everyone else? Doesn't it get boring?
